Goals For Life a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation,
is an educational youth development program that teaches at-risk youth in underserved communities the skills and strategies that are necessary
for success in life.

  What We Do
Goals For Life sends former NFL football players into schools to facilitate goal setting workshops with students who demonstrate maladaptive behaviors. Drawing on their personal experiences, the athletes speak of the enthusiasm, drive and determination that were primary factors in assisting them in achieving their goals. Goals For Life athlete/mentors teaches at-risk youth that what applies to the world of sports, also applies to education. The children discover first hand that qualities such as integrity, preparation, high self-esteem, perseverance and the confidence to succeed are a winning combination in all fields and endeavors.
Special Training

All Goals For Life athlete/mentors are trained to conduct a thirty-week intensive program. The executive director trains all athlete/mentors in strategies for instruction, student- learning and group participation as well as how to communicate with the unique personality of the at-risk student. Upon successful completion of training, the athlete/mentor meets weekly with his students to implement the curriculum and achieve the objectives of the Goals For Life program.
All Goals For Life lesson plans are student-centered, interactive and personalized by the professional athlete/mentor (incorporating the NFL Game Plan and perspective) and adapted to meet the needs of this particular student group.
